Eight Years of "Blackity-Black" Magic
Can you believe it’s been eight years? When we first started this journey, people looked at us like we were crazy. "Black people don’t camp," they said. But we knew better. We knew our people needed a place to unplug from the "always-on" grind and recharge in a space where they didn't have to code-switch.
Over the last eight years, we’ve grown from a small group to a massive family of over 1,000 cousins. We’ve turned Lake Blackshear in Cordele, GA, into a sanctuary of Black joy. This isn't just about putting a tent on some grass; it’s about reclaiming our connection to the Earth and doing it with a soundtrack of R&B, the smell of good food, and the sight of beautiful brown skin glowing under the Georgia sun.
The Homecoming 2026 Vibe: Why It’s Different

- I Love the 90's Night: We’re taking it back to the era of baggy jeans, neon windbreakers, and the best hip-hop and R&B. Get your outfit ready now, because the lip-sync battle is no joke!
- Motor Speedway Madness: For the thrill-seekers, we’re bringing that high-energy speedway energy to the campout.
